Sometimes you may be pressured to unlock your phone. A decoy password in LockApps opens a completely separate vault with its own, harmless-looking content — your real vault stays hidden.
How the decoy vault works
- Your real passcode opens your real vault.
- Your decoy passcode opens a separate decoy vault.
- Each vault has independent photos, videos, contacts and notes.
Set up a decoy password
- Open LockApps and go to Settings → Security.
- Enable Decoy Vault and choose a second passcode (different from your real one).
- Add a few harmless items to the decoy vault so it looks real.
Plausible deniability works best when the decoy looks lived-in. Add a handful of ordinary photos so it doesn't look empty.
Why it matters
If someone makes you open the app, you can enter the decoy passcode. They see a believable but harmless vault, and there's no sign a second one exists. Combine it with the calculator disguise for layered privacy.
